Greenville Hospital System (GHS) in Greenville, South Carolina has engaged Ghiorsi & Sorrenti Inc as campaign counsel, it was announced by the New Jersey-based fund raising and public relations firm.
Greenville Hospital System plans to consolidate their Cancer Center’s outstanding research, treatment, education and rehabilitative services under one roof, in an architecturally distinct new $73 million, four-floor, 200,000 square foot cancer facility. GHS has harnessed the scientific and organizational resources necessary to be a leader in cancer treatment and research. Their current physical facility, however, is simply too small to function as the infrastructure in which this sophisticated center of trailblazing research and treatment operates. Also integration of disciplines is particularly important in cancer care. Synergy among the GHS Cancer Center’s prestigious areas of excellence, such as the Oncology Research Institute and the Clinical Research Unit, is vital. The new Cancer Center will serve as a critical resource for so many of the patients and their families suffering the effects of cancer, with the expectation that the facility will become the beacon for an advanced ultramodern approach to cancer care in the region.
