Responding to increased client demand, Ghiorsi & Sorrenti, Inc. has developed a new method to project realistic fund raising potential over a specific period of time. The Philanthropic Capacity Assessment™ (PCA) integrates proprietary methodologies developed and refined by GSI over twenty years.
The process involves four key components:
| |
| Development of a Community Giving Profile, essentially a snapshot of the aggregate philanthropic support provided by a discrete community, segmented by donor source and recipient type within that community. |
| Documentation of an organization’s Universe of Prospects by researching, quantifying and segmenting all internal and external funding sources |
| Calculation of a multi-year Projection of Fund Raising Potential by compounding data derived from the Community Giving Profile, current and historical giving results, and productivity from anticipated new programs. GSI has developed proprietary algorithms expressly for these calculations. |
| A Key Factors Analysis which brings a personal and empirical perspective to an otherwise numbers-driven process, using a well-defined set of criteria that, experience shows, have a significant impact on fund raising success. |

The PCA deliverable is a detailed written report that serves as a powerful strategic planning tool. Major components include:
• |
A multi-year projection of philanthropic capacity, in aggregate and by specific program, together with expense projections |
• |
A detailed overview of marketplace giving trends and demographic data having a direct bearing on philanthropic potential and presented in an organized, useable fashion |
• |
A focused examination, with recommendations, of key factors essential to fund raising success derived from select face-to-face discussions with key stakeholders. |
